The memory gets fuzzy here, but iirc, it was from 1970 in Massachusetts- Boston, I think. The tape starts as an AUD, and a few minutes into the jam, it was spliced to a SBD with a different tape speed (and possibly with some of it missing.)

DC Readehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16966699799030112905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-508596483308849125.post-47603482643010658112019-04-04T12:08:45.755-07:002019-04-04T12:08:45.755-07:00Longshot here: way back in the day (C. 1993) I had...Longshot here: way back in the day (C. 1993) I had a tape of a show from 76 or 77 featuring a version with a killer solo from Phil. (It may have been partially unaccompanied?) In fact, the guy who owned the tape had written (Incredophil!) on it, and this is how the tape was known among my tape-collecting mates. Any of the 76-77 versions stand out to anyone as having particularly excellent Phil?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-508596483308849125.post-3982281309057732862019-03-30T12:35:51.937-07:002019-03-30T12:35:51.937-07:00Is this excellent but I love more on the 12-31-197...Is this excellent but I love more on the 12-31-1971 version which is super cool and in an era of its ownGrateful Secondshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16866611234014012885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-508596483308849125.post-65347286331483661432018-07-24T23:26:13.200-07:002018-07-24T23:26:13.200-07:00A great one, for sure! Also, the 7/15/84 Greek Dancin' was the first west coast version since 10/20/78. This was the show opener on the afternoon show (Greek shows had start times of something like 7 pm Friday, 5 pm Saturday, and 3 pm Sunday). Might also be of interest to note that the song returns in 1984 during a fertile period of bringing back songs and debuting others. Two shows earlier, with the Band, they played "New Orleans" and "Big Bossman".
